The Unity Cross – Topeka wedding tips

Recently at a wedding I saw something for the first time. It is called the ‘Unity Cross’. For years we’ve photographed couples lighting the unity candle, more recently pouring the ‘Unity Sand’. Both of the unity symbols have a few challenges for the long term. First the candle can be burned on your anniversary each year which is a great celebration but where does it go the rest of the year? The unity sand is usually placed in glass of some sort then sealed in some way. Hopefully it never gets knocked off of the mantle! This ‘unity cross’ though, for Christians, is unique. The Cross is assembled during the wedding ceremony by the couple. In my opinion it is very pretty and a nice way to start a household together. It can be kept for years and handed down to your kids. Anyway, check it out in the photos below. Their website is .
